GDPR Statement

At Apricity counselling services I believe that protecting your privacy is fundamental to the therapeutic relationship. This statement explains, in plain terms, how I handle your personal information and the steps that I take to keep it safe.

When you work with me
I collect and keep the following information

Your contact details, your counselling assessment form and any other forms that you complete regarding your therapy, relevant medical or health history that you share with me, payment and invoicing information.

As required by the BACP and my membership body the NCPS I discuss my clinical work in regular supervision sessions, your identity is always protected.

Beyond myself the following people may have limited access to certain information

Clinical Supervisor, External IT Support, External Bookkeeper, Google meet, Whatsapp, Gmail, Google analytics.

Each of these providers processes limited data on my behalf to deliver their services.

I keep your therapy records for 7 years after our last session. This retention is in line with the Limitation Act 1980 and standard professional indemnity insurance requirements.

You have the right to see your records, correct errors, request deletion (though I may need to keep certain records for legal or professional reasons) Make a complaint.
